BGMI Air

BGMI Lite vs BGMI Air

BGMI Air is the new public name for the project previously called BGMI Lite. It is a branding change for the same lighter Android title, not a second game you should sideload.

BGMI Lite

The name used when KRAFTON India announced the lighter title and opened Android pre-registration on 25 August 2026. Play Store application ID: com.krafton.bgmilite.

BGMI Air

The name used from 15 October 2026 in KRAFTON India’s public update. The Play Store listing title is BGMI Air from KRAFTON, Inc. Same package ID.

BGMI Lite is now BGMI Air

That sentence is the whole rename. The BGMI Lite new name is BGMI Air. KRAFTON India presented it on 15 October 2026 alongside a 10 million pre-registration milestone. The Google Play package did not change, which is why a “new Air APK” from a file host is a red flag.

BGMI Lite APK and download

There is no separate BGMI Lite APK to keep after the rename, and no official Lite download besides the same Play Store listing. If you already pre-registered under the Lite name, you are on the Air listing. Searching for a Lite APK now usually lands on the same unofficial-file pattern this site refuses to endorse.

What the rename does not mean

  • It does not create a legitimate “BGMI Air APK” that is separate from the KRAFTON listing.
  • It does not automatically change your need to pre-register again — check the same listing.
  • It does not confirm a launch date by itself.
  • It is not the same as PUBG Mobile Flash, which is a different regional product name.

If a website says you must uninstall Lite and install a new Air file from their server, treat that as a warning sign. The official path is still the KRAFTON, Inc. listing.

Frequently asked questions

Answers reflect the last verified public information. They will change when official details change.

Is BGMI Lite now BGMI Air?
Yes. KRAFTON India started using the BGMI Air name on 15 October 2026 for the project previously called BGMI Lite. It is a rename, not a second game.
What is the BGMI Lite new name?
BGMI Air. The Google Play package is still com.krafton.bgmilite.
Should I download a new BGMI Lite APK after the rename?
No. Stay on the official KRAFTON listing. A “BGMI Air APK” that is separate from that listing is not a legitimate new install.
